About the Athletic Program

Marian High School sponsors 18 varsity-level interscholastic athletic programs that exist to support the mission and vision of Marian High School and the IHM Sisters. The programs exist to encourage academic excellence, encourage spiritual growth and to learn to compete fiercely with honor and dedication to the TEAM above self.
 
Our teams, known as the "Mustangs," compete as members of the Detroit Catholic High School League (CHSL). Marian is also a Class B member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA). Based on enrollment and other factors, Marian is assigned to a variety of different divisions for CHSL play MHSAA and other governing body tournaments.
